ARTHUR M. COLE, JR.

Arthur Cole has 20 years of experience in community development. He has served as director of a national community development resource center, a statewide community empowerment initiative, and has preformed humane service, zoning, and community development planning for a major Georgia county government. Mr. Cole is a graduate of Duke University (BA, Psychology) and Harvard University (Master’s, City and Regional Planning).

KEITH I. HINCH

An economist by training, Keith Hinch has devoted the last seven years to consulting engagements addressing numerous aspects of minority business development. He has managed or been involved as researcher on 15 disparity studies for state and local governments in major U.S. cities. Mr. Hinch has extensive experience in strategic planning exercises for nonprofit organizations and has provided technical assistance and grant writing assistance to community based organizations in a variety of social service endeavors. Mr. Hinch has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and performed doctoral study in economics at MIT.

JONATHAN A. JONES

Jonathan Jones is one of Atlanta’s most qualified housing professionals. He currently oversees a multi-million dollar housing production and management enterprise. His past work has encompassed management, project development, training, and technical assistance responsibilities with the Housing Assistance Council; Fulton County; the Martin Luther King Center; the Neighborhood Reinvestment Corporation, and the Southeastern Reinvestment Ventures (SERV). Mr. Jones holds an undergraduate degree from Fisk University (Political Science) and a master’s degree in public administration from Atlanta University.

MARCELLUS T. PITTS

Marcellus Pitts is a 20+ year civil engineering veteran. His most recent project work includes the planning, design, and management of water distribution facilities for Georgia’s largest and most populous county. He has also been on the engineering staff for Williams, Russell, and Johnson, the New Jersey department of Transportation, and involved in numerous engineering projects as a consulting engineer. Mr. Pitts is a graduate of South Carolina State University (BS, Civil Engineering) and MIT (Master’s, Environmental Engineering).

H.J. MACKLIN

H.J. Macklin has over 25 years experience as a housing advocate for long income families to obtain safe, decent and affordable housing in the southeastern United States. For the last 15 years as community development specialist with the Housing Assistance Council, she has helped rural organizations with their development of affordable housing for seniors, self-help housing for families, and general economic development. She is on the board of directors for the Atlanta Neighborhood Development Partnership (ANDP) and served as co-chair of the FDIC – Savings and Loan Insurance Fund from 1995 to 1999. Ms. Macklin is a graduate of Florida A&M University and holds a master’s degree from the University of Connecticut.
